We have a winner…and any readers live in Ohio?

Good Wednesday morning, readers,

We have a winner of last week’s contest following the interview of Sharon Srock. Jackie Smith–you’re the lucky winner of Terri. Sharon will be contacting you shortly to arrange delivery. Thanks to everyone who entered the drawing.

This week’s drawing is for a three-book set of the Miller Family series. (A Widow’s Hope, Never Far from Home, and The Way to a Man’s Heart). Since I’ve received so many entries already, I will be giving away 2 sets of the Millers, instead of one. Page down to my question regarding “Are Amish fiction books romances?” and leave your comment there to enter the contest. Drawing on Monday May 6th. Open to U.S and Canadian residents.

Also, do any of my readers live in Ohio. I will be speaking, and signing books in four different Ohio locations during the next month, including this Saturday May 4th. If you live in Ohio take a look below where I’ll be. I LOVE to meet readers–they’re always a lovely group of people.

Friends from Ohioana 2011

Here are some pictures taken last week at Ohioana book festival in Columbus Ohio. The one below  is of myself and Laurie Kingery who writes super books for Harlequin Love Inspired, and the second to the right is Amanda Flower and myself (she’s the young one!). Amanda writes great mysteries for Five Star. Can you tell which of the two was taken late in the day?? oh well, a good time was had by one and all.

Greetings from BRMCWC in Ridgecrest, North Carolina

Sorry for the delay between posts. It’s been crazy busy here between writing and getting ready for this grand tour trip. My adventure began in Columbus, Ohio, where I participated in the Ohioana Book Festival with 100 other Ohio writers. What great fun I had rubbing shoulders with Lisa Black, Don Bruns, Casey Daniels, Linda Robertson, S. Swann, Laurie Kingery, and too many to mention. The reception at the Govenor’s Mansion, hosted by Mrs. Kascich, capped off a perfect event. From there, it was on to the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference where I am as I write. This annual writers conference under the fabulous direction of Alton Gansky is one of the best out there. I have learned so much from teachers like Dr. Angela Hunt, Terry Whalin, DiAnn Mills, Gina Holmes, Deb Raney, Al Gansky himself, and many others. The keynote speech delivered last night by Vonda Skelton brought me to tears! If any writers are reading this, put this conference on your to-do list for next year. Trust me, you won’t be sorry. Gotta go, time for dinner. Oh, by the way… food’s great here, too!

Ohioana Book Festival

I just got back from the annual Ohioana Festival at the State Library in Columbus, and what fun I had. Ohioana honors Ohio authors and poets each year and I was honored to have been invited. I got to meet some outstanding novelists including Dan Chaon, Don Bruns, Lori Foster, Karen Harper, Casey Daniels, Carla Buckley, Linda Robertson, and Cindy Thompson. A reception at Govenor Strickland’s mansion capped off a  fabulous day! Thanks to the wonderful organizers of this literary event.
