Today I am featured on Amish fiction author, Laura Hilton’s, blog. Laura has interviewed me regarding my research in Maine for my recent book, Living in Harmony. She also reviewed the book at the end of the interview. And here’s the best part, Laura is giving away a signed copy of Living in Harmonyto one lucky commenter. Just answer the following question and leave your email address. Drawing will be held in one week. Thanks for dropping by. Here’s the link:
I just got back from riding my bike with my husband. That’s right…riding my bike, at my age! We are determined to get more exercise so we don’t have to go buy all new clothes. I do believe we should have started earlier in the day. Quite hot and humid here in Ohio. Anyhow, drop by this blog and post a comment after the review of Living in Harmony. Will be giving away a free copy of Living in Harmonyat the end of the week. Good luck and here’s the link:
Good Thursday morning, readers! If you’re wondering what happened to Monday, I’m wondering the same thing myself! All I know is I’ve been busy as a hornet finishing judging my share of Genesis contest entries. And goodness! They were great! We have some fine budding new authors out there waiting for their chance to break in. I loved the stories I read in the entries. Now I’m back to work editing Love Comes to Paradisewhich will probably release in Feb. of 2013. It will be second in the New Beginning series. Living in Harmony(set in Maine) will release in mid-July and I can’t wait. I had so much fun researching that book with my college buddy last summer.
Now without further ado, here are the winners of An Amish Family Reunionfrom Cindy Elliott’s blog. Nancee Marchinowski and Dawn Searcy. Your books are already in the mail to you. (I’m not slow sending things out!) I hope you enjoy the read. Thanks fellow writer, Cindy Elliott, for hosting me on your lovely blog.
Please say a little prayer for me…this Saturday I will be teaching a class on Writing Amish Fiction to college students. Although I’ve taught school in the past, this will be my first time teaching adults. I hope I don’t freeze up. (or start crying…) Wish me luck and have a super week. Hooray–the heavy frost the other night didn’t kill my tulips.
Thanks to everyone who posted to my blog during the past week and left a comment for Laura Hilton. In a random drawing I have selected a winner. drum roll please….Debbie Foster, please come on down! You’re the lucky winner of A Harvest of Hearts. On second thought, since you probably don’t live close to me, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to provide Laura and I with a mailing address. Thanks again to everyone who posted a comment.
Stay tuned…very soon I will be posting photos of my recent research trip to Maine to learn about the Amish who live in that lovely state. And I’m counting the days….A Marriage for Meghan releases in one more month. Check out the great trailer my publisher, Harvest House, did for that book. I absolutely love it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDR2IwwgWy8
Have a great week! Get out and do something fun. Summer is wanning, and I for one will miss it when it’s gone. Blessings.
