Final days until the drawing

Happy Monday, readers…

We’re down to wire on my first contest to give away 10 signed copies of Living in Harmony to newsletter subscribers. Please sign up for my newsletter if you haven’t already done so at: www.maryellis.net  There’s a little box to enter your email address on the right hand side, underneath the book covers.  That’s all there is to it. I will draw 10 names on Wednesday to win free copies.

Also, these are the final days of the sale of 3  of my older titles. If you haven’t read Abigail’s New Hope, A Marriage for Meghan, The Way to a Man’s Heart, or Sarah’s Christmas Miracle, Amazon has them on Kindle for 2.00 or 2.50 . Such a good deal.

Now I must get back to work in my screened porch on A Little Bit of Charm. That book will not get written unless I get busy. Have a lovely week.

Green beans, summer reading and sale prices

Happy Monday morning, readers,

I’m excited to announce that two of my titles, Abigail’s New Hope and A Marriage for Meghan, are available for $2.99 for all types of E-readers, from August 3 – 13 including Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Apple, and the Sony Reader. If you missed either of these titles, look for these on all participating distributor websites (Amazon, CBD.com, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, etc.).

I’ve been busy last week canning green beans (19 jars!) with fellow writer Rosanna Huffman. What fun that was…putting up garden produce for winter while talking books, stories-in-the-making and writing. What a fine way to spend a summer day. And since I haven’t shared any photos lately…here’s one of my husband reading his favorite author, (under penalty of death) and my favorite vegetable…green beans!

Also, drop by Shannon Vannatter’s blog either today (Monday) or Wednesday. She recently interviewed me with some truly fun questions. If you leave a comment on Shannon’s blog, you’ll be entered in a drawing for a signed copy of Living in Harmony. Drawing in one week! here’s the link: http://www.shannonvannatter.com/blog

Now go have some summer fun, readers. It will be cool and rainy (or snowy!) before we know it!

After Christmas let down?

Happy Tuesday, readers. Are you feeling blue after Christmas? All the delicious meals and time spent with friends and family can leave a void when the holiday is over. I like to look toward the bright and shiny new new year, just around the corner. I might not be big on resolutions, but I am big on fresh starts. And a new year always provides one of those.

I hope you’ll check out my brand new website, designed by the awesome Keiki Hendrix. It should go live on January 1st, if not before. It will have so many neat features that my blog didn’t have. But I still promise to blog faithfully each Monday, (or Tuesday in case of holidays…) Please check out www.maryellis.net after January 1st. Please tell me what you think along with your email address. I will select five comments at random and send them a free copy of my January release, An Amish Family Reunion. A new year…a new book! I’m so excited!

Oh, for those of you who got new Kindles or Nooks or Sony Readers, or any of the other e-readers, two of my titles are ON SALE for $2.99 at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and www.christianbook.com If you haven’t read Abigail’s New Hope or Never Far from Home, now’s your chance.

If there’s one thing we need after the holidays…it’s a bargain! Blessings on you all!

An ACFW interview–quite an honor!

Good Wednesday morning, folks. This week I am the featured author at the ACWF website (American Christian Fiction Writers). This is quite an honor for me since this is a very well-respected organization. Heidi Main asked some rather bizarre questions, so this interview was great fun to participate in. If you have a chance, please drop by to read the interview and post a comment if you can. Enjoy the weather (those of you lucky enough to live where it isn’t raining cats-and-dogs.

Happy Morning Morning–It’s Holy Week!

Good Monday morning, everyone. I hope everyone had a nice Palm Sunday. We went out to brunch after church and thus, I did not have to cook. Always a red-letter day when yours truly can avoid kitchen duties. Everything always tastes better when someone else wields the stirring spoon or the spatula. However, I do love making homemade soup–beef vegetable, chicken noodle, split pea with ham, twelve-bean soup, clam chowder, shrimp gumbo–you name  the soup and I make it. And I’m quite  good at it–my only claim to fame. Now, enough chatter about food. If you’re still with me on this rainy Monday, drop by Roseanna White’s blog today (or soon) for a chance to win a free copy of my latest book, Abigail’s New Hope. Just read over the interview (she’s a fabulous interviewer and a super writer herself…) and post a comment. You will be entered in a drawing to win a free copy. Until then, may blessings rain down on you all this week. Mary

Super interview from a super writer, Roseanna White

Time to drop by another blog for a chance to win a free copy of my book. While you’re reading the interview, check out her other interviews and her books. Roseanne is a very talented writer whom I met last summer in Virginia. She’s as pretty-as-a-picture and as nice as they come. Leave a comment after the interview to be entered in the drawing. And have a very nice weekend. The sun is finally shining in Ohio, and I’m getting out in it. Enough computer for one day!
