Friends from Ohioana 2011

Here are some pictures taken last week at Ohioana book festival in Columbus Ohio. The one below  is of myself and Laurie Kingery who writes super books for Harlequin Love Inspired, and the second to the right is Amanda Flower and myself (she’s the young one!). Amanda writes great mysteries for Five Star. Can you tell which of the two was taken late in the day?? oh well, a good time was had by one and all.

  1. Dear Ms,Ellis,
I was one of the lucky ones who won a book that you even signed for me. I would like to thank you very much for it. The book that I got was A Widow’s Hope. That book was great. I hope that you will go on and do more of her life plus Emma’s. I really got into your stories because in someways I felt I was reading about myself. I too am a widow, but I am also handicap. I had to sale my home which I had for 25 years and move in with my sister’s family. All the way through the book I kept saying I know what she is going through. With the brother-in law,the new way of living.Plus a new state. I am so glade that I got your book And now I see that you have many more for me to enjoy. You have a way with your words that you can make someone feel that they are there. My God bless your talent and always keep your pen filled with ink.
I hope you have a great day. For you have made mine.
    God Bless you always,
    Debbie Voelker

    • Thanks for posting, Debbie. I’m so glad you found my story relevant, especially since you are also a widow. My sympathies on the loss of your husband. Right now, I’m writing the last few chapers of An Amish Family Reunion, part 4 of the Miller Family series. It’s been great fun revisiting my characters. The story takes place 14 years after A Widow’s Hope, and 4 years after the 3rd in the series, which is The Way to a Man’s Heart. I hope you enjoy the 2nd in the series, Never Far from Home. many blessings on you.
